• On a scale of 0 - 10, how useful was the hypnosis?

I wasn't even sure I was in labour until late in the day. Hypnosis seemed to 'take over' - had contractions in car which I would deal with by breathing + tens - (car trip was 40 mins) - arrived at the birthing centre at 7.10pm and she was born at 8.10pm. It also helped that I had a fantastic mid-wife. Felt like I was in a deep well - had a "disappeared down" sensation.

Birth was all I could have asked for - especially considering the first time - felt more knowledgable and in control.

I listened to my tape and CD - probably one each every second to every  day for 3 to 4 weeks before the birth. Used to fall aspeel listening to them.
